    FEATURED ARTWORK (On Display)

After over one decade of working abroad in international education, I've come to appreciate the importance of Curiosity in not only pedagogy, but in interpersonal connections and even in the most basic practice of empathy. Curiosity, and the ability to step outside of our minds and learn how to interact with our surroundings remains a crucial skill in an increasingly globalized and interconnected world.

While working in China, Japan, Bulgaria, and Kazakhstan, I utilized every long weekend and extended vacation to seek out adventures to places with gorgeous, yet raw and stark landscapes and rich, uncomfortable histories. All of my images have enlightening, humbling stories behind them as I seek to capture and share my own awe. I want my images to inspire curiosity and wanderlust in my audiences and make people ask: which adventures and experiences do I seek?

“i Do”

I was so determined to be cold

Because I trusted the lies, someone told me.

That love was a foreign concept

That no one else would love me

I know that was all a lie

Why

Because he stepped out of heaven beyond my dreams

He carries my heart in his hand and put his as a ring

Willing to accept my history

Eager to learn my story

So, he can tell the world

Blu is my beautiful girl and my glory

He calls me girl because he values my innocence

Not concerned about time with others I have spent

He is here, and it feels like the others never did exist

I am so sure that this is love

Sent from my Father above

To remind me

Everyone has always remembered me

Never forgotten

That I am a prized peach and have not rotten

I thank God for my dreams coming true

I do not think that there is anything I need to do

I promise to love him for the rest of my life

Vowing to always be his friend, confidant, and his wife

I take you as my beloved husband for all eternity

take

thee
