“Writer’s Block (Asking For A Friend)”
Do you ever get writer’s block?
Do you know that hopeless feeling
Where you lose a staring contest
To the screen of your computer?
Have you ever felt the sensation
Of each and every
individual phalange
Longing to stroke
Every keyboard quadrilateral
Creating stunning stanzas,
verbalizing verse paragraphs,
And pouring out your subconscious
In delicate rhythm
With the silent tango of your thoughts,
Yet still Producing nothing?
Asking for a friend.
