This Month’s Featured Spots

  • Julie Enstall

    FEATURED ARTIST (Art On Display)

Julie Enstall is an artist and teacher, who creates vessels and wall sculptures from various types of clay, both ceramic and paper. You’ll see that much of her work conveys elements of life, texture, and a sense of timeless moments: A sculpture of a child playing, a musician and his instrument, the flow of an evening gown, or a dancer sculpting the air with movement.

Her work is a tactile response to the splendor of world around her, to moments that cause one to pause, and notice. Intrinsic beauty will do that; it causes us to stop, observe, and let ourselves be moved by the presence, and mystery of what we find beautiful or intriguing. The pressing, carving, rolling, and molding of clay into something that carries dimension, and texture is her response to the beauty and mystery of life.

She loves to share the gift of unlocking artful imagination, with those who want to learn explore their own creative voice, in both online and in-person classes.

“THE BOY IS THE FATHER OF THE MAN”

I grew up without a father so as I grew to be a Man.

The streets became my mentor pain made me understand.

The Boy a playful Kid inside trying to understand.

Why the streets are so hard on Him, He has no future plans.

The Boy is the Father of the Man; His teachings are far from true.

So He lives the life on an innocent child not knowing what to do.

He longs to be a Father figure with nothing to compare Himself.

He’s the offspring of His Father, Whom He lost to failing health.

The man inside is crying out, the Boy don’t have a clue.

Either the streets are going to educate or beat the man out of you.

You’re fighting against wisdom stupidity blinds you from the light.

So now your gangbanging and running the streets at all times of night.

He’s reaching out to the father who Himself is just a child.

A grown ass man with no life plans unfocused and running wild.

How can He make a commitment, give the Boy the room to grow?

He can’t comprehend the world; His knowledge of life is slow.

Now he’s fighting within Himself, the Boy can’t understand.

So it’s up to the Boy to teach the Father how to be a Man.

So remember your never too old to learn grasp it while you can.

Listen to your inner child as the Boy become the Father of the Man.
